The objective of the study was to determine respondents' contributory factors in the involvement of illegal drugs and to assess the extent of implementation of Therapeutic Community Ladderized Program by the Ilocos Norte PPO and Laoag City PPO to probationers, as well as the problems they have encountered while undergoing said program. The study used the descriptive method of research and utilized questionnaire checklist and conducted informal interview to gather data. A total of 101 probationers undergoing the said program were taken as respondents.

I graduated as Class Valedictorian in College at Data Center College of the Philippines, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte in my Degree Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Education. I pursue my studies in Master of Science in Criminal Justice Education with Specialization in Criminology at the University of Northern Philippines and I am currently continuing my educational development for my Doctorate Degree in Criminal Justice at the University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City, Philippines. As to my professional experiences, I was first employed as Prison Guard (Jail Officer) at the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail and I was appointed as the Jail Warden of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Regional Office III, after I graduated as the Class Valedictorian at the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Academy. I was also a Criminology Instructor to different schools and universities in the Philippines. At present, I am one of the Probation Officers at the Department of Justice - Parole and Probation Administration in the country.
